| | I finally have an air conditioner in my bedroom! Little itty bitty thing, but it only cost $99, uses 5,000 BTU and cooled my bedroom down fast. I get the last 3-4 hours of sunlight pounding into my bedroom and that little thing had it cooled down enough to have the windows open when I went to sleep. Otherwise, doesn't matter how much it cools down at night, my bedroom stays hot when the last several hours of heat hit it. Thank you Mike for doing a great job installing it!
Rented two movies last night that both came out on DVD yesterday, "Knowing" and "Push." "Knowing" - great idea that dissolved into stupidity at the end. I liked the premise, but it would have worked MUCH better if they hadn't tried to explain where they came up with the numbers and then skipped the stupid ending altogether. Would have been much more interesting to just have him figure out the numbers and then try to do things to stop it. Just... the last 30 minutes really did not work for me. However, the two disaster scenes before really sent chills through me. I cannot believe that movie is only rated PG-13. Should have been an R because I don't think kids 13-16 should be watching such horrific scenes.
"Push" was a much better movie, albeit at times confusing. There are people with some special powers. A little bit like X-Men, except that there are maybe 5-6 different special powers and there are quite a few people who have each of these various powers - but only one power each. If you're telekinetic, that's your only power. If you can see the future, that's your only power. The reason it got confusing is that the people who have these powers, or know about them, have weird nicknames for each of them. A pusher is someone who can push thoughts into your brain and make you think they're true. A watcher is a person who sees the future. And all of these nicknames got a little confusing at times and took a bit to understand, but it was a very cool movie. Dakota Fanning rocks. This kid is one of the most amazing actresses and to see her "all grown up" at about age 14 in this movie, she is just as good as ever. Good action flick.
One more day of work and then LEBOWSKI-FEST!!
Leave rather early tomorrow (Thursday) morning and won't be back until late Sunday night. Then have to jump right into the last two weeks of "Grease". Considering that night before last I had my first rehearsal in two weeks, not bad. I still have a few lyrics to straighten out, but I've already got my lines memorized and I don't have any choreography, just move here and there and that's about it. I'm just worried that I don't really have time to really nail down my lyrics between now and my next rehearsal on Monday night. Although I do have rehearsal tonight, so let's see how well I retained things!
